On Thursday, April 18, 2019, Common Wealth, Inc., along with city and county officials, local residents, and faith leaders, affirmed commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals at an art installation unveiling ceremony at 901 Elm Street. Dr. Mila Rosenthal, Director of Communications for the United Nations Development Programme, addressed the community members in attendance about the importance of the goals for our future.

Two great events to celebrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals!

Join us on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at 832 Elm Street for the "Fundraiser for Our Sustainable Future" featuring live music, light appetizers, and BYOB. Single tickets for $25 or sponsorship for $100 is available. Purchase tickets in advance through Eventbrite or by contacting Jim Converse, Sustainable Development Coordinator, at 330-518-6971 or jwconverse@gmail.com. All proceeds go toward funding sustainable development projects in the community. Hope to see you there!

On Saturday, April 27, 2019, we will host a Sustainability Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the corner of Elm and Baldwin streets, near 901 Elm. We will have hands-on activities for the kids, a Maker's Market featuring handmade items, a community-wide yard sale at the Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, a Drop-and-Swap/Mom-to-Mom baby exchange to bring an item/take an item, a composting workshop, a rain barrel demonstration, and health care item giveaways! Not to mention, it's opening day for the Northside Farmers Market!! Food also available from Cultivate Cafe, the Elm Street Diner, Culturehouse Coffee Company, and Rev's Ribs. Join us, along with the United Way, ONE Health Ohio, the Green Team, and our other partners, in celebration of the Earth!
